
Isabel Marlens has an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from the University of Idaho and a
BA in Literature and Evolution & Ecology from Bennington College. She arrived at NNMC
in 2025, where she teaches literature, composition, and creative writing and enjoys
working with students on every kind of writing in the Writing Center.
Previously, she taught composition, creative writing, and science writing at the University of Idaho, where she also served as the Associate Director of the Writing Center and as a writing consultant for graduate, postdoc, and faculty writers. In addition to teaching writing, she has worked as a writer in the nonprofit world.
